Building New Homes Since 1998

With over 40 years in the building trades and construction experience across three continents, I bring a truly global perspective to every project I take on. I was born in the UK, grew up in South Africa, and have lived in the United States since 1985—so you may notice my unusual accent, but you can count on me to make the building process clear and comfortable. After traveling throughout the country working in construction, I settled in Los Angeles in 2000, where I built the home in which I raised my two daughters.

I operate with a small, personalized crew and take a hands-on, top-to-bottom approach with minimal subcontracting to ensure complete oversight and quality control. I enjoy getting to know my clients so we can form a collaborative relationship and bring your residential vision to life with care and precision. Outside of work, I spend time sailing, writing, walking in the mountains with my daughters and our very old dog Puppy, and I’ve even designed and built elaborate props as a proud dance team dad.

"My daughter was at a friends house and called me and said, “mom you have to see this house, they just redid it and it’s amazing”. That is how I found out about Mike and I am beyond thankful I did! After seeing the work he did at that house and talking with that mom about how great Mike was, I was convinced that I should go forward with finally redoing my kitchen. I had been putting it off because if felt like everyone I talked to had an horror story about a contractor they had used. Over these past few years, Mike and his amazing crew have redone my kitchen, added a bedroom and redid a bathroom. All 3 of these projects went so smoothly, who ever says that about construction?!? Mike has such great ideas, things I never would have thought of that are now my favorite parts of the jobs! Things I didn’t think were possible, that he made possible! Mike and his guys have been working together for many, many years and it shows. The quality of their work says it all. It’s so nice to see the same guys come to work on each project over the years, that tells you what kind of team they are. There is no one else I would have do any work on my house and I highly recommend him! Thanks Mike and team for making my house so beautiful!"

"We have been so pleased with Mike and his crew. They are very skilled, hardworking and are super easy to work with. Mike helped us make so many decisions and he always offered common sense solutions that were within our budget. His prices are reasonable and his quotes are detailed and transparent. We can’t say enough good things about Mike and his right-hand man, Lalo! "
